Richard’s Garage in Boisbriand
Garage Makeovers
The owner of this double garage wanted a nice garage but more than anything else, a practical one. The goal was to intelligently use all the available storage space while allowing the parking of two vehicles.
The project involved adding LED lighting, both on the ceiling and over the small workbench, and painting the ceiling and walls in an immaculate white. To refinish the floors, we installed an aesthetically pleasing, durable, and easy to clean floor covering along with a new aluminum checker plate drain cover. The back wall was equipped with Duralum custom furniture with plenty of shelving to maximize its storage capacity. The unit features a small open module close to the entrance door to welcome shoes and boots and a solid-colored beech top which provides a convenient spot to empty pockets before entering the residence. The left-hand side wall was completely covered with PVC panels which makes it a practical wall organizing surface for a plethora of equipment, tools, and gear.

The design of the back wall also accommodates a pair of bicycles on swivel vertical racks, as well as a Gardena hose box. The space underneath the staircase landing was also cleverly used with its large custom bin on wheels for storing Christmas decorations. The alcove on the right-hand side features custom Duralum furniture with stainless-steel handles and adjustable aluminum legs. This offers even more storage including a small workbench and a large cabinet to discretely store long handle tools.
