Eva & Raja’s Garage in Town of Mount-Royal
Garage Makeovers
The owners of this double garage wanted a garage makeover to match the rest of the residence, which had been completely renovated. They also wanted additional practical storage solutions to accommodate a variety of tools and equipment.
The project involved removing all the old wiring in walls and ceiling, rewiring the entire space, and housing all the cable and wire within discrete metal protective covers. Also installed were new receptacles, LED lighting, and a new fan heater to replace the old baseboard heaters. New MDF baseboards were installed in preparation for the new floor covering. The walls and ceiling were repaired, including joint taping, to allow for complete painting. And finally, floor and baseboards were covered with durable polyaspartic flooring. It is worth noting that a new fire-retardant steel door with electronic lock is planned to replace the existing one.

The design of the back wall also accommodates a pair of bicycles on swivel vertical racks, as well as a Gardena hose box. The space underneath the staircase landing was also cleverly used with its large custom bin on wheels for storing Christmas decorations. The alcove on the right-hand side features custom Duralum furniture with stainless-steel handles and adjustable aluminum legs. This offers even more storage including a small workbench and a large cabinet to discretely store long handle tools.
