Alice’s Garage in Pointe-Claire
Garage Makeovers
The owner of this garage, a mother of two young children, wanted a makeover to integrate a freezer, a small wine cooler, and most importantly, a large closet, a bench to sit on, and lots of storage space for boots and shoes.
The project involved designing a layout for the back wall as well as a large nook on the right-hand side of the entrance door. Electrical work added dedicated outlets for the freezer, wine cooler and workbench, as well as LED lighting in the ceiling. New baseboards have sealed the perimeter of the floor while a polyaspartic floor covering provides an aesthetically-pleasing, durable, and easy to clean surface. The garage was completely repainted with a special paint, far more durable than the original one from the home builder.

Custom Duralum furniture was installed to maximize the storage spaces from floor to ceiling. An impressive solid-coloured Beech countertop with PVC panels as a backsplash adorned the workbench. A large closet integrating a clothes rack and cubbies for boots & shoes use all the available space in the nook. A handy sitting bench, with storage and a top made of Beech wood which matches the workbench, conveniently helps the family put on shoes and boots while filling the opposite corner. There is even a large custom mirror to the right of the closet allowing the owner a last look before leaving for the day.
