Adeline & Sebastien’s Garage in Mirabel
Garage Makeovers
The owners of this brand-new garage wanted to maximize the available storage space for, among other things, a wide range of sporting goods and equipments.
As the floor had already been covered in porcelain tiles, the project involved designing bespoke furniture to occupy the entire alcove on the left-hand side of the garage. Immediately to the right of the front door, a mud bench welcomes family members to either put on or take off their shoes, and store boots and shoes in a dedicated module. Deep storage cabinets flank a good-sized refrigerator and beckon to a large counter at the far end, where a built-in sink crowns base cabinets with multiple drawers or hinged doors. Here too, the emphasis is on storage capacity. Large PVC panel surfaces, matching these cabinets, complete the layout and offer plenty of opportunities to hang all the items its active owners want to keep on hand.

The right-hand side of the garage features large PVC panel wall hanging surfaces on both back and right-hand walls. The large quantity of sporting goods illustrates the importance that all members of this active family devote to the various sports they practice. A few long-handled tools can be found on these surfaces, but the bulk of these are neatly stored in the 70 sq. ft. mechanical room (unillustrated), where the walls also offer large wall-hanging surfaces to accommodate all maintenance items, products and tools.
