There is storage and storage, especially in the garage. We often see people recycling their old kitchen cabinets and reinstalling it in the garage. Unfortunately, more often than not, these cabinets, which were not designed for this use, are rapidly deteriorating. The weight of the items that you store in a kitchen is not the same as the weight of the one you store in a garage. Think only of gallons of paint or numerous tools of all kinds and sizes that are usually found there. In addition, the materials used to make these cabinets vary greatly as well as overall quality.
Because a non-organized garage is a total waste of space. And now a days, who can really afford to loose such a large space? Each room in the house has its own function. Consider the entrance for example. Very few residences do not have this small room furnished and decorated. It usually provides a good sized closet to organize clothes and shoes, a mirror to take one last look before going out, sometimes a chair or bench for putting shoes and boots on, etc. It also ensures, through the quality of its decoration both in tone and in manner, a proper introduction to the rest of the house.
Now a days, we cannot imagine the design of a new kitchen or a new bathroom other than custom. The same goes for a garage. Designing a custom residential garage requires a specific solution for this space. A little bit like a made to measure suit. Every available square inch is evaluated, weighed and analyzed from the perspective of the needs expressed by the clients. As every garage has its own configuration, like the human body, it is difficult, even impossible if one looks for optimal results, to agree upon the right solution before having taken the time to think adequately about that solution.

While respecting those who are looking for a ready-made solution at select retailers to outfit their garage at lower cost or those who are more concerned about some sort of décor modification putting all the emphasis on an ephemeral setting to pimp their garage for a brief stint on a TV reality show from a local decoration specialized channel, we have always made a point to address the design and layout of residential garage in a serious, professional… and customized manner.
